Keeping You On-Schedule
The most common materials we work with include 1026, 1045, ST52.3, and similar steels. Our standard tubing has ODs ranging from ¾” to 11” in lengths up to 32’. Our standard solid bar has an OD ranging from 0.750” to 6” and lengths up to 24’. By using a proprietary “duplex” application process, we provide you with a consistent chrome thickness of up to 0.002” that results in better performance than other chrome finishes.
Our machining and plating capabilities for bar and tube range from 0.750” to 11” in OD and up to 390” in length.
We pre-polish our materials to specified surface finishes that create optimum conditions for successful plating. After we plate your material, we finish-polish it to final specifications to ensure it meets your dimensional and surface texture requirements.
Materials can be induction hardened prior to plating to increase the parent metal’s surface hardness to about 55 HRC to a depth of 0.050”. We can also induction “skip harden” in zones to provide soft areas for additional welding or machining.
CONSISTENT QUALITY
To complement our plating operations, we offer in-house salt spray testing that complies with the ASTM-B 117 standard. After your material has passed our rigorous quality inspection, we will ship it to you for arrival within 48 hours so you can keep your production schedule intact.
